Duration: 1 hour

As a former chorister, I am well placed to show you roundSt Paul's. We start at the west front with the story it reveals in stone. Inside, we contemplate the genius and courage of the architect Sir Christopher Wren. Many thought the dome would fall but it's still standing and even survived the war. We conjure the great events that have happened here, the funerals of Sir Winston Churchill and Baroness Margaret Thatcher and the tragic wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. We marvel at the many treasures in the cathedral including the sculpture Mother and Child by Henry Moore and the painting The Light of the World by William Holman Hunt. We appreciate the intelligence and wit of John Donne, poet and Dean of old St Paul's before the Fire. We descend to the crypt to wander among the tombs and recall the burial both of Admiral Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington.
