Join me for this highlights tour of Tate Modern Art Gallery every weekday afternoon at 2pm. We start where the impressionists end with Matisse and The Fauves before Picasso and the Cubists seized the baton. Dali and Magritte spearhead the Surrealist reaction, Boccioni longed for war with other Futurists while Duchamp exhibited a urinal and invented Conceptual Art. Meanwhile Pollock rolled naked on the canvas as an Abstract Expressionist. We cover Warhol and his Marilyn Monroe fixation and the later Pop artists Lichtenstein and Paolozzi. We celebrate the younger talents Shonibare and Neuenschwander and intermittently engage with centenarian Joseph Beuys who planted trees and Art out of Activism.
